I have to admit, when I first saw the clues, I thought it was going to be a tough one. The first clue, Trifle, made me think of a random assortment of things, but nothing seemed to stick. Then I saw Parfait, and my brain went to a French bakery, but I still wasn't sure what connected these two.

That was when I saw Tiramisu, and something clicked. I realized that all these desserts had something in common, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It wasn't until I saw Baklava that the connection became clearer. I started to think about what made these desserts special, and that's when it hit me - they all have multiple layers!

The final clue, Seven-layer cake, was just the icing on the cake (pun intended). I was so excited to have finally figured it out. The category was Desserts (all with many layers)! It was a challenging puzzle, but the feeling of accomplishment was sweet.
